Writing for Deadlock - Swearing?

Just a quick question about writing lines. Is there swearing allowed within the lines, and if so to what degree? I just thought I'd check before I get myself in trouble. XD

Well, it's all about degree. You can swear a few times in a PG-13 movie, as long as it's not on the more intense end of things, or racially motivated. You should use your own judgment here. If I find it offensive, I'm canning it.

Notice how they don't go too far with the cursing. These are ordinary people faced with extraordinary circumstances. You come unglued every once and a while, but you don't have time to sit around coming up with offensive speeches. They probably don't want to risk offending their fellow teammates for fear of being deserted.

Apparently "gently caress" is too intense for a zombie outbreak.

If a friend got killed by a zombie, I would not hesitate to call it a "hawt boi!", "cocksucker!", "---!" or similar. I don't think I'd go like "you effing zombie!" or "f.. crap!"

So I'd say use any swear word but not like a 20-word long sentence with only swear words! xD Or anything racial or too offensive.

I do love how Bill says "motherhumper"! xD Must be the most offensive word in L4D, hehe.
